Connie’s Bakery in Provincetown

I meant to put this up last week. We stopped at Connie’s for breakfast on the advice of a friend who works in P-town. From the first glimpse, we knew we’d hit the motherlode. Great pastries (cinnamon buns, sticky pecan buns) and breads. While we were eating breakfast, a baker came out of the back room carrying a white bucket of flour–so unlike any of the other places in P-town where you’re as likely to see the help carrying boxes of packaged foods. Many restaurants advertize that they serve Connie’s pastries.

The flour must have been for show. This place uses all canned filling for her pies.. Her muffins are all made with the same batter mix. Even the lemon filling comes from a can. Plus she is so rude especially to her staff.
The locals are not going there because of the way she treated her star employee Abby. She is a fake and mean

“Sophie” is clearly a plant who is for some reason trying to sully Connie’s impeccable reputation. SHAME ON YOU! You may want to investigate the concept of karma, because yours is in trouble with this posting.

Connie’s is a “scratch” bakery and doesn’t use batter mix for ANYTHING. Not only that but they use butter for everything - no margarine, Crisco, or oil. The fruit pie fillings are not from a can and a peak around the corner reveals stacks and stacks of flour.

Connie herself is anything but rude to her staff, and is adored and revered by the locals. Not only do they go there in droves, they mourn when Connie’s closes in the winter and count the days until she rand Richie reopen in the spring.

“Fake and mean” have never been used to describe the lovely Connie and the experience of the bakery. The poster/imposter must be looking in the mirror.
